In 2003, the Kentucky Corn Promotion Council invested $1 Million in a Hopkinsville, Kentucky based ethanol plant in order to help create a market for Kentucky corn and boost local corn prices. The investment is administered by Ky. Corn Plus, a limited-liability corporation of the Kentucky Corn Growers Association. Returns on the investment will be utilized for additional cooperative business projects.
