E10: Ask For It!
All
motor vehicles manufactured since the 1970s can run on E10,
a blend of 10 percent ethanol. E10, which does not require
engine modifications, also significantly lowers carbon
monoxide levels. E10 is required in Louisville (Jefferson
Co.) and Northern Kentucky near Cincinnati (Boone, Kenton &
Campbell counties) for clean air mandates.
In 2004, Max Arnold & Sons, a
fuel retailer, made the commitment to provide E10 at its 44
retail stations in Western Kentucky. Thornton's also carries
E10 at most of it's Kentucky locations. See the list of all
E10 fueling sites.
