E85: An
Alternative Fuel
E85
is an alternative fuel composed of 85% ethanol and 15%
gasoline. For the past several years, KyCGA has worked
diligently to introduce fleet managers to vehicles that burn
E85 and then help them develop their fleets and fueling
infrastructures. Kentucky agencies now has more than 1800
flexible fuel vehicles (those which can run on E85 or
gasoline). Many of these vehicles are also owned by the
public and E85 use has risen in areas where it is available.
