GM Presents KyCGA a Chevy Avalanche
for E85 Promotion

August 18, 2005
- The
Kentucky Corn Growers Association accepted an E85 Chevrolet
Avalanche today at the Kentucky State Fair Agricultural
Commodity Breakfast, courtesy of General Motors. The
association will use the vehicle for one year to promote the
fuel to the public and private fleet owners.
On the day of the presentation, KyCGA
staff member Jennifer Elwell made a Louisville television
appearance touting the benefits of this renewable fuel. She
also shared how vehicle owners can check to see if their
vehicles can safely utilize E85. Cecil’s Chevron, a public
E85 fueling station in downtown Louisville, has seen an
astronomical increase in their E85 sales as a result. KyCGA
has been instrumental in making sure the tank remains full
due to the increased demand.
