The Kentucky Commodity Conference is the joint annual meeting of the Kentucky Corn Growers, Kentucky Small Grain Growers and Kentucky Soybean Associations.

About the Speakers

Keynote Speaker
 Bruce Vincent

Bruce Vincent is a third generation logger from Libby, Montana. Bruce helped form and is currently serving as President of Communities For A Great Northwest, Executive Director of Provider Pals and is co-owner of Environomics. “With Vision, There is Hope”—It is time for change—and change can be our friend. America is ready for a new vision of conservation and environmental stewardship that is based upon hope instead of fear. In order to share this vision we must first reintroduce the American consumer to the people and the processes of food production and have a line item in our business plan to engage the discussion over our environment. Farmers work at the ground level in implementing society’s framework for protecting the environment. This leading edge position provides challenges and, if we focus on leading and not just fighting, exciting opportunities and hope for the next generation of agriculture in America.

James Bower

James Bower is Owner and President of Bower Trading, Inc., a full service commodities futures and options brokerage firm specializing in trading the global agricultural markets with an emphasis on meeting each client’s unique needs and requirements. James has more than 30 years of experience in the commodities and futures business. Bower Trading, located in Lafayette, Indiana, is nationally recognized as a leader in the futures and options industry with expanded emphasis into the global marketplace, especially Brazil and other South and Central American countries. James founded Bower Trading in 1988.

Cory Walters

Cory Walters grew up on a grain farm in Montana. He received a B. S. degree in Agricultural Economics from Montana State University. He received a M.A. degree in Agricultural Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from Washington State University. His primary responsibilities at the University of Kentucky are to provide research based information to producers on crop marketing.
