This listening session is carefully structured to allow the highest level of discussion as efficiently as possible. They will each last about two hours.
Moderated by Jonathan Coppess, Director of both the Gardner Agriculture Policy Program and the Bock Ag Law/Policy Program at the University of Illinois and former administrator of Farm Programs at USDA/FSA and chief counsel for the US Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.
Mr. Coppess knows every in and out of federal farm policy at the policy development level and the policy implementation level. He will ensure efficient and accurate discussion. Each session blocks a segment of time for participants to anonymously, through electronic survey, submit preferences to critical decision points.
There will be time for open discussion on individual perspectives of what did/did not work in the 2014 Farm Bill and how it should be improved.
We have heavy hitters in Congress; given clear guidance, they are as capable as anyone in Congress at advancing what you say you need into law.
Please join us and let your voice be heard.
