From Marketing to Meals

Low-income Scott Countians now have a more abundant supply of food thanks to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA), the Kentucky Corn Growers Association (KyCorn), and the Georgetown-Scott County Tourism Commission. The three organizations combined to donate more than 4,400 cans of non-perishable foods to the AMEN House in Georgetown.

The cans of non-perishable foods were used for displays at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville. KyCorn’s sweet corn sculpture provided 1,400 cans of corn for the AMEN House. The sculpture was the focal point of the exhibit that showcased how corn is produced and utilized in Kentucky.
